Star Mentor, run by LoPair Cultural Exchange, is an online tutoring program for children aged 8-12. We connect children, parents and tutors to create interest-based one-to-one English learning experiences that take place over video calls. So far, we have served more than 300 students, most of whom are based China, Europe and North America.

The Star Mentor program aims to develop children’s core English skills while also improving their broader transferable skills. By discussing and debating ideas, analyzing problems, thinking critically and using their creativity through interactive activities and conversation, children develop the skills needed to become valuable global citizens. The program particularly focuses on cultural competencies, including creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking.
