Hanfu, History&A Little Main Character Energy

Hey everyone! Guess who's been having their own little historical drama moment in Beijing? 👀✨
Our participants recently dressed up in traditional Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) and headed to the Beijing Imperial Ancestral Temple — and honestly, can we take a moment for these outfits?! 😭

Think traditional flowing sleeves, stunning ancient architecture, peaceful courtyards, and approximately a million photos later... 📸😂 It was one of those days when you look around and think, “Wait, is this actually my life right now?”
The Imperial Ancestral Temple, with its grand halls, ancient cypress trees, and beautiful traditional architecture, offered the perfect setting for our au pairs to step back in time and experience another side of Chinese culture. 🏮✨

But of course, it wasn't just about looking pretty in Hanfu (although, let's be real, the photos turned out amazing 😉). It was also about learning more about China's history, discovering the stories behind its traditions, and experiencing the culture in a way that you just can't get from a textbook.
And that's one of the best parts of joining the Live - Learn Program in China! On the one hand, you get to improve your Chinese and experience everyday life with your host family; on the other, you get to immerse yourself in Chinese culture, explore its rich history and traditions, and making memories you'll be telling your friends about for years. ✨💛

Different cultures, new experiences, unexpected adventures... and so many little moments that make this journey unforgettable. 🌏
At LoPair, we love seeing our participants go beyond the everyday and discover the many sides of China. Because cultural exchange isn't just about coming to a new country — it's about getting out there, trying something new, and letting yourself be surprised. ✨

And now we have to ask... 👀
If you could wear Hanfu for a day, which historical Chinese setting would you choose? 👘🏯 Tell us in the comments!
Thinking about starting your own China adventure? We'd love to hear from you! 💌
